Chamonix Golf Club

Designed by world-famous golf course architecture specialist Robert Trent Jones Senior, this Chamonix golf course is the most prestigious in the whole area, and it certainly offers the most amazing view. Your stay in our hotel in Chamonix puts you at a mere 10-minute drive away from this amazing 18-hole course, located on the route du Golf, right between the Mont Blanc Massif and the stupendous Aiguilles Rouges.

Since its humble, 4-hole beginnings back in 1934, the Chamonix Golf Club has become a high standard facility. It was such a success that five more holes were added by the following year! Unfortunately, World War II delayed further improvements significantly but, by September 1982, Robert Trent Jones Senior had made it the impressive place it is today, with its 18 holes and its par of 72.

As part of the many summer activities in Chamonix, golfing is family-friendly, relaxing and fun. If you love it, you will be glad to know that there are several more spots in the area where you can take a swing!

Other Chamonix Golf Courses

The area boasts several exceptional resorts where more Chamonix golf courses may be enjoyed.

Geneva is one such place; plus, it will give you the opportunity to cross the border to go and admire the eponymous lake and its famous 140-meter high Jet d’Eau, both of which can be seen from the golf course itself. The park-like facility also offers a sumptuous vista of the Alps and the Mont Blanc.

In Megève, less than an hour away from your Chamonix golf course, stands another 18-hole alpine course considered to be the oldest still in use today. Once again, the panoramic views are indescribable. The resort itself, organically situated in the heart of the Mont d’Arbois Plateau, is integrated within the environment and respects its natural resources.

Courmayeur should be on your list too if you are planning for a Chamonix golf vacation! The Courmayeur & Granges Jorasses golf course was designed by Briton Peter Gannon and built in the 1930s before being greatly improved in the ’40s. Often holding inter-club events in collaboration with the Chamonix golf course, Courmayeur also puts instructors at their clientele’s disposal all summer through.
